I met Lee at the Tampa show.  There were about 20 of us gathered around when the buses pulled in.  Lee was one of the first ones off, and he turned and waved at us, gave us the “1 minute” gesture, and went inside.  About 15 minutes later, he was the very first Idol to come over and talk to us.  He was out there for a good 20 minutes or so, making sure he got to everyone and had time to chat and pose for pictures, and accept gifts.  He seems SO grateful for all the fan support, he’s a very genuine guy.  When he got to me, I asked for a pic and he said “sure”, put his arm around me without hesitation and posed for the pic (one thing – Lee does not smile in pics and he was looking at the wrong camera but oh well, LOL!) I wanted to ask for a hug but I spared him because I was SO sweaty from being out in the open, hot, hot sun.  Anyway, after the pic, my friend mentioned that we were from Chicago, and his ears instantly perked up.  “Oh yeah?” He said, and I told him what part of the city I was from/where I lived near, and suddenly had his undivided attention (you can tell that he loves his hometown a lot).  I told him where I went to highschool, and he started mentioning local hangouts in the area.  When I knew what he was talking about and mentioned a few hangouts I used to go to as well, he nodded like “hell yea” and gave me an impromptu high five.  Anyway, he finished up with all the autographs and went back inside, but not before saying he’d be sure to tell the other Idols to come out too (and he stayed true to his word, because Crystal and Katie both came out right after and said Lee told them to LOL)

So I met Lee on July 9, 2010 at the Bridgeport, CT show.  As we all know Lee’s performance was AMAZING….and like a crazed fan I was going CRAZY (plus drunk lol) After the show I had gotten my backstage pass sticker and we went up to the top of the venue where all the idols were.  There were probably about 50 people so it was not that crowded THANK GOD!! As soon as we got up there Lee was signing someone else’s stuff and as soon as he was done came across the room to greet us! I WAS LIKE OMG OMG OMG OMG freaking out!!! So like an idiot I forgot to charge my camera…so my friend was taking the picture it kept delaying….so in Lee’s arms i was like OH NO and he was like to my friend “thats okay i will just hold her till you get it fixed.” I COULD HAVE DIED!!!!!! so while my camera was pausing on us i told him how much i loved him how amazing he is he is such an amazing performer all that good stuff! and he replied with i love you too i am so happy to have a fan like you i cannot wait to go on my solo tour and come back to CT and see you again!! OKAY SO I REALLY HAD TO PINCH MYSELF BECAUSE I THOUGHT I WAS DREAMING THIS ….yep I WASNT HE WAS SAYING THIS TO ME!!!! So we were probably back there for almost 2 hours! When finally it was time for my SWEET LEE to be going back on his tour bus I was actually on the other side of the room taking pictures of my neice with other idols and he came up behind me gave grabbed me and gave me a HUGE hug and whispered in my ear “i am so happy to have met you thank you so much for coming” YEAH I WAS IN HEAVEN OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! So i hope you like my encounter with our LEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE HIM TO DEATH!!!!!!
